RE, FURTHER DELAYS: Motorists driven to despair at traffic lights Burnley councillor Charles Briggs, a former county councillor, said: “This is a disgrace and we still have problems with this roundabout almost 12 months after the project started.
“When I was a county councillor I helped bring in the first set of lights and I welcomed this project.”
Why did you welcome them when they weren’t needed?
A person with common sense would have seen the problem that they would create on a roundabout - standing traffic and congestion.
That’s what traffic lights do, stop traffic.
