OVER Christmas my grey bin collection day fell on Christmas Day so I telephoned Blackburn with Darwen Council to inquire when next collection was.
Saturday, December 23, I was informed although we had not had any literature to tell us this.
On the Saturday morning at 7.15am I was about to bring the bin around to the front when the bin wagon drove past. I could not believe they were this early and I noticed none of my neighbours bins were out. They probably were unaware of a collection.
I telephoned the office but the message was we are now closed'.
I phoned on December 29, to inquire when the next collection will be and have been told January 8. The last time my bin emptied was Monday, December 11.
There is nothing we can do as I have been informed that the bin men say it was after 7.15am when they came. I think this is very bad as I know I looked at the clock just as I opened the door. They flew up the road having no bins to empty.
Happy New Year Blackburn with Darwen Council. The service stinks.
