Well done to Mr and Mrs Perfect who were out shopping in Sainsbury's Bamber Bridge on the afternoon of Thursday, December 28.

They managed to reduce a young mother to tears, a very Christian act. The mother had three small children and was having a difficult time with the youngest, a little girl about two years old.

She was having a bit of a screaming fit as most children do at some time. The poor mum couldn't get her into or out of the trolley and both were getting more and more wound up. All parents must have been there sometime!

Mr Perfect (60 something I'd say) walked past the little girl and shouted at her to "shut up" in a very offensive way. Mrs Perfect pipes up: "We don't come to Sainsbury's to listen to that."

By this time young mum is not only harassed but now embarrassed in front of lots of shoppers and bursts into tears.

My wife and myself were horrified that someone could pick on an already stressed person, we think it was an act of cowardly bullying.

I wonder if Mr Perfect would have done the same if the child's father had been there? I constantly hear the older generation calling the young for having no manners, well some of the rudest people I've heard are old.

They should know better and should be setting a good example, don't blame teachers or police officers, have a look at yourselves.

I hope Mr and Mrs Perfect slept well after treating someone like that, we will not, thinking of the poor mum in tears.
