Can anyone at the council please explain why it is now impossible to travel south on the Darwen part of the A666 and turn into Railway Road.

It will mean all vehicles including 40 foot articulated delivery trucks having to use Duckworth Street, Union Street, Knott Street, School Street, Railway Road.

Any driver who misses this route will have to go down Hardman Way along Sudell Road, down Kay Street and providing the vehicle will fit under the Atlas Road bridge it will eventually arrive in Railway Road.

I must say that while I think the new Darwen Centre' is awful and a waste of money, the new road system is a complete disaster.
