COUNCIL leader Kate Hollern says the massage parlour in Blackburn town centre gives Blackburn a bad name.

What gives Blackburn a bad name is when I see, as I did on Tuesday, October 15, before dinner time, two women and one man off their heads with drink shouting and dancing near Morrisons.

Also I have been targeted by beggars, approached by shoplifters trying to sell me something.

Twice I have caught a pickpocket trying to get into my bag and I have had to walk past the underground entrance of the White Bull Hotel which stinks because it is being used as a urinal.

Then we have groups of shouting, foul mouthed yobs that we have to skirt round.

We have the horrendous road system in and out of the town.

The other day it took me on a Preston bus 15 minutes to get from Ainsworth Street to Montague Street.

Also some bright spark has moved the buses from the Boulevard and the rail station making it difficult for commuters and shoppers.

Our streets and back alleys are a disgrace.

So please Cllr Hollern sort out these very big problems instead of fretting over a little insignificant back street business not advertising with flashing lights or signed poster.

Then maybe, just maybe, we will attract more visitors to Blackburn — but I am not holding my breath.
