RE ‘Blackburn College principal Ian Clinton quits’, LT, February 6), as a former Blackburn College student, I know what a huge impact this forward-thinking man has had on, not only my education but that of many, many others.
Having inspired me, late in life, to truly explore my full potential, I can only say that our loss is someone else’s gain. This man has truly grasped the nettle, making Blackburn College and the new Uni a true centre of excellence.
I wish him well and give him my eternal thanks for the legacy of dedicated and motivational staff that he leaves behind. He should be given some recognition by our council, such as, freedom of the town.
