Water companies should take a look at where they are wasting money before putting prices up.
I called the water board out last year when I moved house as the water had an awful taste to it.
The chap turns up, I explain, offer him a taste of the water (declined) – then all he did was hand me a leaflet and said ‘Everything’s in there, love’.
I insisted he did ‘something’ as that’s what I’d been told he was coming out to do – not hand-deliver a leaflet that could have been sent by post and therefore wasting a day’s annual leave for me.
Reluctant doesn’t cover it. How much money must be wasted by that practice?
