HERE are a few more ways for Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council to save money: Scrap the funding for the running track.
Scrap the new bus shelter/station/urinal and sell all the land.
Scrap any funding for the ‘cathedral’ improvements – we don`t need a hotel! Forget about the link road: it’s doing OK, so sell the land.
I’m a carer and thanks to this council (and the last government who left the country skint – I don`t support any party) I’m going to lose 30-40 per cent of the money I get having to pay the bedroom tax and council tax, and there is nothing I can do about it.
