A DAREDEVIL schoolgirl is planning to jump out of a plane to raise money in memory of a friend who died.
Molly Blake, 17, from Haslingden High School, is to complete the 15,000ft parachute jump in August at Black Knights in Cockerham.
The Year 12 student is raising money in memory of former student Matthew Densfield, who had a heart defect as a result of genetic condition, DiGeorge Syndrome, and died in March at the age of 20.
Molly, 17, from Baxenden, said Matthew was an accomplished drummer who played with Haslingden and Helmshore Brass Band.
She said: “Matthew is my best friend’s relative and he used to play in the school bands. I also used to play in the school wind band.
“I wanted to raise a bit of money because I was so close to Matthew and I have always wanted to do a sky dive."
Molly has already raised nearly £700 for Ronald McDonald House at Manchester Royal Infirmary.
