THESE days school children are used to getting their hands on tablets and laptops but this photograph from September 1992 shows how our education has changed.
Here, a collection of 2,000 Tesco shopping vouchers bore fruit in the form of a BBC master computer which was handed over at Audley Infants School by store manager Peter Cunningham.
Pictured looking at the machine are pupils from three schools Audley Infants, St Stephens CE and Cedar Street and the use of the computer was also shared by Griffin Park School.
The children pictured from left are: Shabana Moosa, Mubarak Patel and Yasir Mahmood from Cedar Street Infants, with Jemma Rigby, Sumaiya Ukadia and Yasin Patel from St Stephens and then Samantha Cosgrove, Nadeem Afzal and Ibrahim Seedat of Audley Infants are hitting the right keys.
