A CONSULTATION day to discuss a new vision for Turton Tower stables is taking place tomorrow.

Volunteers are needed to help with the refurbishment of the 17th century building, in a project led by councillor Jean Rigby.

Between 10am and 12 noon, visitors can go up to the site and listen to some advice from a heritage expert about possibilities for the building's future.

Councillor Rigby said: "We can't let such a wonderful building fall to the ground, which is what could happen unless we get things moving.

"We would love to see as many people as possible come along and give their ideas on how this building could be best used."

A free lunch and tour of the site are provided.
