YOUNG women and mums in Chorley are being urged to take part in a series of new activities.

Various new sessions have launched during the past month to give young women, in particular mums, more opportunities to take part in sport and exercise.

The latest Active Women sessions include Buggyfit, a postnatal exercise which involves walking at pace to raise the heart rates.

These hour-long sessions will take place at 1pm at Cuerden Valley Park on Tuesdays, June 26 and July 17 and 24 and Yarrow Valley Country Park on Wednesdays June 27 and July 18 and 25.

Cardio tennis is a new activity featuring drills to give a high-energy workout.

It takes place every Friday at Chorley Tennis Club, off Walgarth Drive, between 6pm and 7pm.
