HAVE you seen an angel? If you haven’t seen an angel yet, you may do so soon.

Members of Chorley United Reformed Church on Hollinshead Street, Chorley have been busy knitting angels and are about to send them out into the town.

The idea came from Church Member, Yvonne Ogden.

She said: “I saw a pattern for a knitted angel and thought that some of our folk would love to have a go at making one, but what could we do with the finished angels?”

The Church’s Café Church team had the answer.

They decided to base their Christmas Café Church on the theme of angels and get the Café Church folk to hide the angels round the town for people to find.

The angels will be dedicated on Sunday at Chorley URC’s Café Church and will go out immediately afterwards.

Chorley URC minister Rev Martin Whiffen said “We are hoping that the angels will bring a smile to people’s faces and remind them of what Christmas is all about.

"We would love people to bring the angels along to our Christingle Service at 4.30pm on Christmas Eve and tell us where they found it.”

Look out for the angels anywhere around the town. If you find one, it’s yours.
