The last two years have seen Accrington-based company, Studio, undergo extensive growth and changes - most recently overhauling the company's branding.

Colleagues joined together at Accrington and Rossendale College in December for the internal launch of the new branding.

Paul Kendrick, Managing Director at Studio, commented:

"Over the last few years we have been evolving from a catalogue business to an online retailer. Although we have many exciting developments still ahead, now is the right time to recognise the change, having moved away from our heritage in gifts and cards, to a digital retailer selling a wide product range. It also allows us to be more recognisable by aligning our employer brand with the name that customers know us and love us by."

Studio is a well-known retailer in high demand, continuously growing. The transition has come around in keeping with Studio's changing target market. The heritage of the company goes back to 1922 when they sold just gifts and cards. Since then they have grown to turn over £400 million annually, delivering to over 1.8 million customers and employing over 2400 people in peak periods.

Development, particularly over recent years, has seen them become much more than the gift shop they used to be, now selling over 20,000 products ranging from home furnishings and gardening equipment to electrical goods, clothing, and kids toys.

December 2018 was a record-breaking month for the company, when they celebrated hitting £14 million sales in just seven days in the run up to Christmas. The rebrand followed shortly after.
