LEADERS of Lancashire County Council are to install a £343 coffee machine in their offices — to reduce 'risks'.
A report said the espresso maker would improve the hospitality facilities of the cabinet and lead members room, used by members of the ruling Tory group.
It added: “It would also reduce the current health and safety risks which occur through staff having to make the refreshments themselves.”
Deputy council leader Albert Atkinson gave the go-ahead for the purchase of the Gaggia Syncrony Logic after a business case was prepared.
