AROUND 31,000 people have still not come forward for their second jab in Pennine Lancashire.
It includes 7,000 people in Blackburn with Darwen.
Many of these are in the vulnerable age group 50 and above.
The Lancashire and Cumbria Health and Care Partnership revealed the information and warned people need their second jab to ensure they are fully protected against Covid and any new variants.
A comment said: "It is a two jab vaccine, please check on your older relatives and friends and urge them to get their second jab as soon as possible."
Recently, a new facility opened in Chorley to offer the vaccines.
Offering first and second doses of Pfizer and AstraZeneca, this temporary facility will make getting a jab easier and more convenient, with clinicians on hand to answer questions and address any concerns people might have.
More than 1.8 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine have been given in Lancashire and South Cumbria since the vaccination programme – the largest in NHS history – launched six months ago.
Find out where you can get your second jab on the website where bookings for the jabs can also be made online.
