A man who attacked a woman and put her in hospital has been jailed for 20 months.
The victim was left with a nasal fracture after the attack at Ewood Triangle, Blackburn, on May 22 last year, Preston Crown Court was told.
Samuel Kitson, 31, of Ellesmere Port, pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to unlawful wounding. Keith Harrison, prosecuting, said Kitson knew the victim, whom he knocked to the floor and punched.
He was under the influence of drink and drugs.
Judge Norman Wright said Kitson had battered' the woman.
