A MEMBER of the world’s biggest boy band was in Blackburn on Saturday to watch his beloved football club in action.
One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson, a non-contract player for hometown club Doncaster Rovers’, watched Blackburn Rovers beat the Yorkshire side 1-0 from the stands at Ewood Park.
The 22-year-old former X Factor contestant was on a break from touring.
And in an interview with Doncaster’s online video channel Rovers Player, he paid tribute to Paul Robinson who kept Blackburn in front during a spell of late pressure from the Yorkshire club. He said: “I think the second half was promising and we were really unlucky.
“The Blackburn keeper pulled off a really good save.”
Louis also admitted the trip to Blackburn was a rare chance for him to watch his favourite team. He said: “I’ve not been able to get down much this season as I have been on tour.
“I was just sat there about to watch the game and I looked at the programme and saw my name and number 28 which was pretty amazing.”
The star was later pictured posing with fans on social networking site Twitter.
