THE Environment Agency has warned residents across East Lancashire to remain vigilant despite river levels across the region falling.
Rainfall cleared yesterday and levels in the rivers worst affected this week were starting to fall.
But the Met Office predicted further showers across the region today and into the weekend. The Environment Agency was planning to downgrade its flood warnings last night as river levels continued to drop.
But members of the public were being reminded that flood water could still be very dangerous.
