RAMS were in demand with East Lancashire farmers at a Gisburn Auction Mart twilight sale.
Joint top sellers were George Cropper, of Haslingden, and Chris Cornthwaite, of Bolton-by-Bowland, who sold Beltex and Texel shearling rams respectively, for £760. The buyers were G Sunderland, of Cragg Vale, near Todmorden, and John Dobson, of Grindleton, near Clitheroe.
And Alan Harker, of Long Preston, came away with a series of healthy receipts for his Texel shearlings. And a £500 lamb sale was recorded by Gemma Brown, of Tockholes
