RIBBLE VALLEY residents and businesses are continuing their fight against controversial wind turbine proposals for Wilpshire.
A ‘NO’ campaign has been urging all residents, businesses and tourists to lodge complaints against the turbines with Ribble Valley Council.
The planning application seeks permission to erect three turbines, measuring 46 metres tall, at Carr Hall Home and Garden Centre, Whalley Road.
The council has now received over 300 letters of objection, and the ‘No’ group campaigners have collected a further 450 signatures.
Veronica Hargreaves, who is spearheading the campaign said: “We must keep fighting this proposal, we really encourage people and businesses to carry on sending the council their objections. If this application is successful, it will damage the visual amenity of the landscape and has lots of implications for local wildlife.”
