HYNDBURN residents are being invited to have a look around the borough’s fire station between 10am and 4pm on Saturday, September 1.
During the open day there will be a car crash rescue demonstration and a dramatic hot oil fire re-enactment.There will also be fun activities for children, with face painting, games and a chance to try on the fire kit firefighters wear.
The day will be an opportunity to raise funds for the Firefighters’ Charity and Accrington childrens’ charity Visually Impaired Children’s Support (VICS).
