CHURCH star Levi Wolfenden has been handed the honour of captaining the Lancashire League U21 team in Friday’s prestige match with the MCC.
The talented all-rounder will lead a team representing the pick of the league’s young talent in the game, which takes place at Rishton’s Blackburn Road at 11.30am.
The games are always popular with the MCC rolling out a host of names from the cricket scene.
Wolfenden skipper a side that includes Ramsbottom wicketkeeper Tom Parton and Lowerhouse opener Jonny Whitehead, while Church’s star all-rounder Lloyd Aspin and Bacup ace Joe McLuskie are also in, as is spinner Ali Sartaj, who represents the league on his own ground.
