A 19-YEAR-OLD man appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with assault, with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, following an incident in Accrington on February 25.
The court heard the victim, Kyle Broadhurst, suffered a fractured eye socket, and a fractured cheekbone, during the assault.
Patrick James Gavin, of Rhoden Road, Oswaldtwistle, was sent on bail to Burnley Crown Court charged with wounding Mr Broadhurst.
He is also charged with assaulting Jack Schofield, and jointly charged, with Andrew Piper, 18, of Wordsworth Close, Oswaldtwistle, and Malcolm Ashton, 19, of Stanley Street, Oswaldtwistle, with affray.
