A DJ and children’s entertainer helped kick start the Jubilee party at the All Age Centre in Andrew Close, Blackburn.
Children made flags, while red drinks and red, white and blue lollies were just some of the tasty treats on offer for the youngsters.
Then for the older generations a special tea dance was put on in the afternoon.
Livesey All Age Centre chair Margaret Maxwell said: “The party has gone really well. We have had something going on for all ages.
Coun Jamie Groves said: “We are hoping this Jubilee party will kick start future events in the centre.”
Kizzy Byrne, 32, painted a union jack on her daughter Kiera, four, for the celebrations. She said: “It has been a brilliant day.”
Ewood councillor Maureen Bateson said: “It has been a really good turn out. Everyone seems to have had a really great time. We’re really grateful to everyone who has contributed.”
