A CHANCE to meet the author of an inspirational true story is coming up at an East Lancashire library.
East Lancashire author Sheena Byrom will be meeting people and signing copies of her bestselling memoir Catching Babies at an event in Whalley.
The book is a moving account of Sheena’s extraordinary 35-year career as midwife, from her very first day as a nervous student nurse in Blackburn, to training as a midwife in Burnley and eventually becoming head of midwifery services for East Lancashire NHS Trust.
Sheena said: “I am thrilled to be invited to Whalley library. It has been a huge privilege to serve local women during my career, and I love telling some of our stories in my book.”
The event is at Whalley Library on Friday from 2pm to 4pm. For more information phone 01254 822446.
