THE Ribble Valley village of Downham is to appear on the BBC’s Countryfile as part of the programme’s feature on the trials of the Pendle Witches.
The BBC got in touch with Simon Entwistle, who leads tours around the valley, to give viewers an insight into the trials.
Mr Entwistle said: “I gave a brief account of the story and we chose Downham because it is such a lovely, pituresque village and was ideal for filming.
“I was very happy to speak about the trials and promote the beautiful villages of the Ribble Valley.”
Mr Entwistle’s interview will feature on the programme on April 15 on BBC1 at 7pm.
