AN annual international food evening at a Ribble Valley high school has been hailed a success.
St Augustine’s RC High School, Billington, welcomed the Mayor of Hynburn, Coun Colette McCormack, and the Mayor of the Ribble Valley, Coun Simon Hore, to its International Food Evening.
Headteacher Anthony McNamara said that it was attended by large numbers again this year.
There were stalls displaying food from countries such as Angola, Singapore and Greece as well as speciality breads and meats from local suppliers such as The Bread Fairy and Dunbia.
The science department held a science goes to Hollywood stall and the modern languages stall offered some of the favourite foods found in Europe.
