HOUSING and council tax benefits claimants in Ribble Valley are being asked to take part in a customer satisfaction survey.

Anyone who made a claim between June 1 and July 31, makes a claim between November 1 and December 31, or has their claim settled between those dates, should have recently received or will soon receive a copy of the survey.

It asks about aspects of the council's benefits service, including face-to-face and telephone contact, how user-friendly the forms were, the speed with which their claim was handled and overall satisfaction.

Benefits manager Dawn Slater said: "We are asking all claimants targeted by the questionnaire to take part, as their responses will help us evaluate and if necessary improve the service we offer."

The results will be made available in the new year.
