THREE people were injured after a 'parking dispute' turned into a fight involving up to 15 people.
Police were called to Garbett Street, Spring Hill, Accrington, at about 6pm yesterday.
They say two groups of men were fighting in the street using iron bars, sticks and hammers.
Inspector Bilal Mulla, of Blackburn police, said two people were taken to hospital for treatment for injuries to the head and leg which were not thought to be serious.
He said the fight was thought to have started when a parking dispute got out of control and local residents called the police.
Inspector Mulla said: "We had four or five calls from various neighbours, saying a fight was going on.
"It started over a parking problem which got out of control and various people started producing weapons in the forms of iron bars and hammers."
He said statements were being obtained with a view to identifying and arresting those responsible.
Anybody with information on the incident should ring the police on 01254 51212 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
