A MAN who died after falling from a bridge on to an East Lancashire motorway has been named.
Police said they are not treating the death of Leigh Harker, 35, of Clayton Brook, as suspicious.
Officers were called to junction one of the M65 after reports that a man was lying in the eastbound carriageway at around 10am on Wednesday.
Witnesses said that the man had fallen from the A6 near Bamber Bridge. He had not been struck by any vehicles.
The motorway was closed at junction one for around 20 minutes.
Mr Harker was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Royal Preston Hospital in an ambulance.
At 2.30pm police confirmed he had died in hospital from his injuries.
