POLICE are advising Clarets fans attending Saturday's match against Leeds United to arrive early as a bumper crowd is expected at Turf Moor.
More than 4,000 away fans are expected to turn up to watch Burnley take on Leeds United in the Championship match at 12.45pm.
Fans are asked to make sure they lock their vehicles and keep personal belongings such as wallets and phones in front pockets.
Silver Commander Chief Insp Jon Bullas said: “We have been working closely with officials from Burnley FC and we want everyone attending the game to enjoy the event in a safe environment.
“However, we will work with the club to ensure that the minority who might look to cause trouble will be robustly dealt with.
“We will not tolerate anyone causing disorder and spoiling the fun for other people.”
