AN entrance to Blackburn Cemetery from Brownhill Drive has been closed after a vandal attack.
Yobs cut off a lock with a pair of bolt cutters.
The entrance will now be closed until a new lock arrives, Blackburn with Darwen Council said. This could take up to two weeks.
Councillor Faryad Hussain said: “This is a highly irritating act of vandalism that means we have no choice but to temporarily close this entrance whilst we wait for the new lock to arrive.
"This will lead to inconvenience for cemetery users.”
