Two teenagers needed to be cut free from a car following a serious road traffic collision in Chorley last night.
The incident happened just after 11pm at the entrance to the Build Centre on Wigan Lane when a silver Citroen Saxo has lost control on a left hand bend and collided with a tree.
The driver, a 17-year-old boy from Adlington suffered cuts and bruises.
His passenger, who is 18 and from Coppull, suffered a bleed on the lung and a broken left leg.
Both the youths had to be cut free from the car and were taken to Wigan Infirmary for treatment.
Lancashire Police are appealing to anybody who witnessed the collision to contact them on 08451 25 35 45.
