A MISSING Oldham teenager, thought to be in Bacup, is being urged to call home following the death of his grandmother.

Ciaron Nuttall, 19, was last seen in Cardigan Street, Royton, on March 5.

His phone and social network accounts have not been used since, and he has not accessed his bank account.

Following information from the public, police believed Ciaron may be living in Bacup and have distributed posters.

Ciaron’s grandmother, Margaret Keogh, 59, who lived in Oldham, died over the weekend and her funeral is due to take place on August 3.

She will later be laid to rest with Ciaron’s sister, Jade, who died aged 6 months.

Before his disappearance, Ciaron was a regular visitor to his grandparents and a hand-written letter was left by Margaret for Ciaron in a sealed envelope.

Police are also investigating possible sightings of him in Rochdale and Bury.

Ciaron is white, 5ft 9ins tall, slim, with short brown hair.

Senior investigating officer Andy Tattersall said: “This is an incredibly upsetting time for the family, who are grieving for one relative and desperately worried about another.

Ciaron’s family want nothing more than for him to come home for the funeral and receive the letter.”
