A CONMAN has admitted stealing from a man with learning difficulties and later robbing him in the street.
Mark Jones, 45, of Heath Street, Salford, was recognised after the Lancashire Telegraph published a CCTV image of a suspect.
Jones tricked his way into the vulnerable 63-year-old’s house last October and persuaded him to handover £190.
Then on October 23, Jones saw the man again at Morrisons in Blackburn town centre.
He led the man from the supermarket to the Soho Foundry car park in Eanam where he pushed him against a wall and stole money from his wallet.
Jones admitted theft and robbery at Preston Crown Court on Friday.
DC Gary Keogh said: “Jones is a cowardly and callous individual.
“He deliberately targeted and preyed on a vulnerable man who has been left with traumatised by what happened.
"We treat incidents such as this very seriously and will do everything within our power to identify offenders and bring them to justice.”
Jones will be sentenced at Preston Crown Court on August 19.
