FORMER Blackburn Rovers midfielder Garry Flitcroft officially opened Charnock Richard Football Club’s new changing rooms yesterday.
The event followed the award of a £15,888 Football Stadia Improvement Fund grant.
The funding enabled Charnock Richard FC to complete the second phase of their new ground development, which involved the construction of a new building to house two large changing rooms, two officials’ rooms, a kitchen area and male, female and disabled spectator toilets.
Shaun Tootell, senior football section chairman at Charnock Richard FC, said: “The opening of this new changing room facility is a huge step forward in the ongoing development of our club.
“We have worked long and hard over recent years to attract the necessary funding required. We are extremely grateful for the financial and technical support which we have received from the Football Stadia Improvement Fund.”
