A HUSBAND has spoken of his shattered life after his 'perfect' wife died of a brain haemorrhage.

Hairdresser Lisa Skinner, who was 39, collapsed at her home in Gannow, Burnley.

Her husband Richard, 35, said: “Everything was absolutely perfect between us and we didn’t argue at all.

“She was someone I dreamed of meeting all my life and now she’s gone. I just can’t take it in at the moment."

Lisa's death is the second tragedy to hit the family after her mum Anne Howard died from the same condition around 20 years ago.

Richard said Lisa started complaining of having a headache before collapsing in their bedroom at their home in Sycamore Avenue.

She stopped breathing and he managed to resuscitate her after putting her in the recovery position.

She was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital before being transferred to Royal Preston Hospital where she made a brief recovery before her health deteriorated.

Lisa died after suffering a major stroke, caused by the haemorrhage.

Richard, who met Lisa on a blind date three years ago at Ighten Leigh Social Club, said: "We just hit it off straight away and got married about one-and-a-half years later.

“When your wife dies it’s different to when you lose your mum or dad because you’re used to being with them 24/7.

“I’ll miss going out for meals with her, sitting and talking, going for walks, making her a brew, having breakfast and waiting for her to come home from work.

“She was funny and crazy, she made everybody laugh and would do anything for anybody.”

Born in Burnley, Lisa lived in Kyan Street, in the Queensgate area, with her dad Billy Howard until she moved in with joiner Richard.

After leaving St Hilda’s RC High School, she worked in retail before training as a hairdresser at Angles in Barrowford.

She started work at Christian Smith Hairdressing salon in Barrowford around seven months ago and worked there up to her death last Wednesday.

Richard, who was due to go on holiday to Italy with Lisa on Saturday, said: “I’m a strong person, but this has beaten me. I don’t know what must be going through her dad’s head.

“Lisa and her dad were really close.

"Obviously, they lived together for a long time, so they spent a lot of time together.

“It was so natural and perfect between us - she will be sadly missed by me and all her friends and family.”

A keen walker, who liked to take the dogs out, Lisa also enjoyed shopping for clothes and going on holidays abroad.

She also leaves older siblings Suzanne and David and stepchildren Joseph and Katie.

He funeral will take place at St Mary’s RC Church, in Yorkshire Street, at 10am on Friday, followed by interment at Burnley Cemetery, at 11.30am.
