PARENTS protesting about a failing school in Earby have pledged to continue their campaign after the school holidays.
Education inspectors have told parents of pupils at Earby Springfield Primary that the results of their monitoring visit will not be known until the start of the 2011-12 term.
Angry mothers yesterday demonstrated outside the Bailey Street school, which was placed in ‘special measures’ in March 2010.
Other monitoring visits the following September and last March did not uncover any significant improvements.
Michelle Tennant, 35, who has two children at the school, was one of three parents invited to meet headteacher Dawn Liversidge and an Ofsted inspector.
But she said: Everything just seemed to be a repeat of what has been said before and I’m not sure whether they are going to do much about it.”
Another group of parents were set to be consulted today.
