ARMED response officers were called to Burnley after a group of youths were seen waving around what was believed to be a fire arm.
Police received a call from a distressed resident who believed four teenagers in a communal garden had a weapon.
Officers were swiftly mobilised to Booth Court, Burnley, at around 4.20pm yesterday.
They watched from a distance to try to establish whether the weapon was real.
The boys told officers it was a BB gun before seizing the weapon.
No arrests were made yesterday and no one was injured.
