A NEW housing development at a gateway to Nelson will help regenerate the town, according to property consultants.
The Reedyford Mill site, in the Bradley area, is to be replaced with 134 new houses.
Permission has been granted for 90 two-three bedroom houses and 44 three-four bedroom houses with gardens and parking on the 6.19-acre site.
Mike Dove, of Leeds-based property consultants Dove Haigh Phillips, which is marketing the development, said: “There is no doubt that Reedyford Mill is a superb site and is ready for regeneration.
“These quality houses will provide a tremendous boost for Nelson’s economy.”
The joint marketing agents are Trevor Dawson of Burnley and the current owners are Yorkshire-based Eshton.
