Drivers escaped without serious injury when they were involved in a head-on crash on the A56 Skipton to Colne road on yesterday morning.
A black Mercedes convertible and a silver VW Golf collided on the notorious Wysick Hill, near the Punch Bowl Inn, Earby, just after 9.30am.
Mobile cafe owner Dennis Hannakin was working less than 50 yards from the accident site when the accident happened.
He said: "I heard an enormous sound, like an explosion, and saw the cars and debris as I turned round.
"It was amazing that both drivers were able to climb out.
"They were both obviously shocked and I gave them a cup of tea while they waited for the police and ambulances to arrive."
