INVESTIGATIONS are continuing into the cause of a fire which ripped through an empty terraced house.
Firefighters were called to a gable-end property in Holme Road, Burnley, at 11.30pm on Tuesday which was well alight.
For four hours officers used an aerial ladder platform to extinguish the flames in the basement, ground and first floor, because the structure was deemed unsafe to enter.
The fire did not spread to the neighbouring house, which was also unoccupied.
