Lancashire Telegraph hospice roof appeal reaches £16,000 mark
THE Raise the Roof appeal total has now reached £16,000.
The Lancashire Telegraph launched a campaign to raise £125,000 to build a new roof over the inpatients unit at East Lancashire Hospice last month.
Hospice supporters will be promoting the appeal at the Tesco Express supermarket in Accrington today.
Patients and volunteers will be informing shoppers in Abbey Street about the work the hospice does and why the new roof is so vital.
If surplus funds are raised they will be used for the general purposes of the charity.
