A PITCHED battle between Westminster’s two coalition parties is set to take place on polling day in Barnoldswick.
Fourteen seats are up for grabs in the town council’s elections, on May 5.
And, with the exception of Independent candidate Glenn Whittaker, who is also a borough councillor, the other 28 hopefuls represent either the Conservatives, or Liberal Democrats.
In Craven ward, borough representatives Val Langtree and David Whipp are standing alongside county councillor Keith Bailey.
Meanwhile, in Coates ward Conservative Marjorie Adams is vying for the same seat she holds at Pendle.
