What's on: Marc Almond
MARC Almond, the voice of Soft Cell, is to play an intimate gig in Darwen on October 13.
Almond, with Dave Ball, enjoyed a string of international hits, including Tainted Love and Say Hello Wave Goodbye.
His solo career includes working with the late Gene Pitney on Something's Gotten Hold Of My Heart.
The acoustic show will feature songs by Almond himself as well as Jacques Brel, Charles Aznavour, David Bowie, Lou Reed, Marc Bolan and Scott Walker.
The Darwen date is one of seven shows at small venues around the UK and represents a major coup.
