AN appeal for witnesses has been issued after three break-ins or attempted raids in Barnoldswick.
In the first incident, Purcell’s deli, in Frank Street, was broken into between 2pm on Sunday and 6am on Monday.
Thieves smashed a rear window before stealing £80 from the till, £80 from a tin and two air ambulance and Pendleside Hospice charity boxes.
An attempted burglary then took place at Heaps of Tackle, a fishing shop in nearby Rainhall Road, around 4.30am on Monday. An intruder was disturbed trying to force a window.
Around 3.50am on Tuesday, a burglar forced entry through wire meshing behind Bardwell jewellers, also in Frank Street.
Silver and semi-precious stones, worth £400, were taken from a workshop.
Sgt Michelle Dixon said officers would be studying CCTV footage from town centre cameras in a bid to catch the offenders.
Witnesses can call police on 01282 425001.
