A SHOP selling personalised clothing is the latest addition to Darwen’s revamped town hall.
Topz n Trainers has opened a new store in the new retail units at the front of the combined market and town hall.
It sells printed T-shirts and hoodies and customers can choose their own designs for the clothes.
Owner Gavin Scott said the nearest shop to offer the same service was in Bury. The 34-year-old said he hoped to expand into larger premises in the future but welcomed the chance to benefit from the £200,000 refurbishment.
The redevelopment of the shops was carried out as part of the Darwen Townscape Heritage Initiative, funded by Blackburn with Darwen Council and the Heritage Lottery Fund. Topz n Trainers is the third of five shops to open in the new development.
