BOSSES and staff at social landlord Hyndburn Homes have celebrated five years since taking control of former council housing stock in the borough.
General manager Nigel Fenton said the company has invested close to £40million, including 1,794 new kitchens, 1,476 new central heating systems and 1,668 new bathrooms.
This year the main redevelopment focus will be on Within Grove, Huncoat, where 30 homes will be demolished, new homes built and remaining homes refurbished in a £5million investment.
Hyndburn Homes is now part of Symphony Housing Group after the merger of parent company Contour Housing with Vicinity.
“We now have the resources of a much bigger parent group behind us but will continue to retain our own local identity,” said Mr Fenton.
