A MIDDLE-aged man who was holding a £2,200 stash of cannabis for a commercial dealer has been jailed for 13 months.
Burnley Crown Court heard how jobless Anthony Drabble, 40, was a long-time user of cannabis and had suffered anxiety and depression as a result.
He was found to have three nine-ounce bars of cannabis stuffed down the back of his armchair when police raided his home in Ingham Street, Padiham.
Drabble, who had a long record for drugs offences, also had weighing scales and other drugs ‘paraphernalia’.
The hearing was told Drabble had admitted possessing cannabis with intent to supply.
A trial over the facts had been heard and Judge Jonathan Gibson had found he must have been prepared to cut the drugs if asked and must have been paid more than the £10 deal from each bar which he claimed.
